# Geographic data and licenses

The quiz bundles geographic data so questions do not make live geocoding requests.
Rebuild the data with `python3 scripts/build_map_data.py`.

Map points are either a matched capital/city, a region coordinate, or a named-place coordinate. Region outlines come from Natural Earth where a confident match exists; otherwise the map shows only the point, not the entire parent country.
